Friday Mailroom/Access & data deletion

Access & data deletion

Revoke access. Remove local copies.

Google authorization and locally retained data are separate; complete both steps when full removal is required.

Effective September 9, 2026Version 1.0

1. Stop future Gmail access

  1. Open Google Account third-party connections.
  2. Select Friday Mailroom from the connected apps and services list.
  3. Choose the option to remove or revoke access and confirm.

Revocation prevents the app from fetching more messages. It does not delete email in Gmail and does not erase data already copied to the local finance system.

2. Delete locally stored data

Because Friday Mailroom is a private, owner-operated system, local deletion is performed by its operator. A complete deletion covers raw message copies, quarantine copies, source-index entries, derived ledger records, run metadata, the stored OAuth credential, and relevant encrypted backups.

Contact the User Support Email displayed on the Google authorization screen and request “Friday Mailroom data deletion.” The operator will verify the request, stop ingestion, remove the requested records and credential, and confirm completion. Accounting records that must be retained by law, if any, will be isolated and kept only for the required period.

3. Understand the result

Deleting local copies does not delete original messages from Gmail. Those can be managed separately in Gmail. Re-authorizing Friday Mailroom later may cause messages still present in the dedicated mailbox to be fetched again.
